Dr Siu Leung

Siu graduated from The University of Melbourne and worked in several well established private clinics before founding her own clinic at Bouverie Dental. With her fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Siu takes pride in providing pleasant, stress-free experience to everyone coming to Bouverie Dental.

Being a registered Invisalign provider, and a graduate of Progressive Orthodontics Seminars (2-year education), Siu is capable of offering complete comprehensive solutions to achieve the ideal smiles that people dream of. And she continuously attends professional development courses to ensure her patients receive the most up-to-date dental information and care, including botox use for dental treatment, sleep apnoea dental device, etc.

Outside of work, Siu enjoys karaoke, skiing, travelling and spending time with her family, especially her toddler is keeping her on her toes.

Dr Mathew Soon

Mathew graduated from The University of Melbourne and has since worked at both public and private dental clinics. Keen on providing treatment in all areas of dentistry he pursued additional training and is proficient in providing care in a wide range of disciplines including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, wisdom tooth removal, fixed braces and Invisalign.

Mathew is dedicated to providing high quality dental care for his patients, working on creating personalized treatment plans based on their individual desired outcomes.  He integrates his clinical work with helping patients understand the fundamentals of oral health and how to maintain a disease-free mouth. Mathew finds dentistry rewarding due to his ability to help people smile and EAT.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys computer games, board/card games, soccer and snowboarding, hitting the slopes in countries such as New Zealand, Canada and Japan. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr Patrick Cheok

As a Graduate of the Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne, Patrick enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, yet he is truly passionate about looking after patient’s comfort and best interests. He understands that everyone has different needs and love taking the time to get to know his patients so he can provide the most pleasant experience possible and what is best for them. It never ceases to amaze Patrick how a good chat can go a long way to helping people improve not just their dental health but also their well-being and happiness!

Outside of dentistry, you can find Patrick watching the soccer, going to the gym or enjoying a good book.



Dr Shirley Zhang

Before qualifying for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Shirley has obtained Bachelor of Biomedicine and Master of Nursing Science degrees from the University of Melbourne. She also studied at University of Pennsylvania, USA as an exchange student. Her experience has enabled her to consolidate her medical knowledge and enhance interpersonal skills in terms of patient care.

Shirley’s empathetic and caring nature is her strongest attribute. With her warm smile and gentle approach, Shirley strives to make every dental visit as relaxing and comfortable as possible. She enjoys working with children and always put both the child and the parent at ease.

With the advantage of being multilingual (Shirley can speak fluent Mandarin and conversational Korean), she is confident about providing a more comfortable experience to patients from a non-English speaking background and ensures that they fully understand all treatment options before commencing treatment.
Outside the world of dentistry, Shirley enjoys drawing and making DIY crafts. She is also fond of baking for family and friends and sometimes takes part in charity bake sales. Having completed a Barista Course, she likes to make different coffees and latte art in her spare time. Aerial yoga and reformer Pilates are also among her many hobbies to maintain a healthy lifestyle.



Dr Christopher Morris

Chris attained his Bachelor of Dentistry from The University of Sydney in 2011. He then worked on the NSW central coast and Sydney for over a decade before moving with his young family to Melbourne. 

He enjoys providing a full spectrum of general dental care; with specific interest in oral surgery and dental implants. To provide the most up to date care to his patients, he has completed many post graduate courses, including a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) from The University of Sydney and Progressive orthodontic seminars.  

Chris is a gentle dentist, dedicated to providing personalized care and creating positive dental experiences for his patients. With a warm demeanor and genuine concern for his patients' well-being, he strives to alleviate any fears or anxieties associated with dental visits, ensuring each individual feel comfortable and valued throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Katelyn Symes

Katelyn graduated from Griffith University in 2013, and spent the past decade working on the Gold Coast in private practice. 
She is experienced in all areas of general dentistry, with a passion for treating our littlest patients. Whether they are feeling shy about their first visit, or are bundles of energy at the dentist, Katelyn takes each appointment at your child’s pace. She devotes the same care and compassion to her adult patients, tailoring dentistry to the whole family. 
Katelyn is currently undertaking additional specialist training at the University of Melbourne to offer her patients the highest level of dental care.
Outside of dentistry, Katelyn enjoys gardening, cooking, and following Formula One.

HYGIENISTS

Ms Charlene Truong

Charlene is originally from Perth and a graduate of Curtin University. She has been working in the dental industry for the past 20 years. She has worked in both public and private practices acquiring skills and experiences in Regional Western Australia, Sydney and Perth before moving to Melbourne. Charlene enjoys getting to know all her patients and their families and building a strong lasting relationship. She has always been passionate about oral health care with her focus on the prevention and management of gum disease and promoting good oral health and well being. Her aim is to provide a positive dental experience that is comfortable, informative and stress free through an empathetic and gentle approach so that the patients feel empowered, educated and happy by the end of their visit.

When she is not working, she is most happy spending time with her young family. They enjoy travelling and embracing new cultures and cuisines together. When She has time for herself, she likes to sit back with a good book or listening to music, especially classical. 


Mr Erich Seng

Erich graduated from the University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Oral Health, (OHT with Honours). He then pursued further studies at the University of Sydney to extend his scope of practice to be able to treat adults as well.

Being a dual-qualified oral health therapist, Erich has extensive experience providing general dental service including cleans, fillings for all age groups in both public and private settings. His expertise with children and gentle character help them to smoothly adapt into the dental environment, which may seem daunting for some. He also enjoys sharing his experience and provides supervision to OHT students when they are doing placements at his public workplace. Erich strives to provide patient-centred care to ensure his clients’ needs are met with satisfaction, and takes pride in maintaining long-lasting relationship with his clients through quality rapport-building. Erich is a strong advocate in oral health promotion and enjoys working alongside his clients to establish optimal oral health care. 

 In his spare time, Erich enjoys playing badminton and gardening. He is also a foodie, so if you have a place to recommend, feel free to leave him a message.


Ms Vang Huynh

Vang’s career in the dental industry began in 2005, initially as a dental assistant, this is how her passion has shaped her path to becoming a dental hygienist in 2014. 

 

She has a calming presence in creating a welcoming environment for her patients. She find it most rewarding when a previously fearful patient overcomes dental fear and finishes treatment with a smile. The value of trust from a patient is very important to her. Having worked at both public and private dental clinics, Vang is passionate in educating patients about their oral health and providing the most efficient care and treatment. She has a special interest in treating gum disease and caring for anxious patients, however she enjoys all aspects of her job.

 

Away from her professional life, Vang likes mindfulness colouring in and building legos. She enjoys walking her cheeky dog with boundless energy around the block and finish the night off with a nice cuppa watching a movie with the family.
